P4CA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to empowering cancer survivors through the sport of dragon boat racing. The organization plays a vital role in forming and sustaining both survivor racing teams and their support networks, with a particular emphasis on individuals affected by breast cancer. By addressing the emotional, physical, and mental needs of survivors, Kentucky Thorough-Breasts fosters a sense of community, resilience, and purpose through active engagement and shared experiences.
In addition to supporting teams, the organization acts as a tax-deductible repository for funds raised by affiliated cancer survivor dragon boat teams. It also provides guidance and assistance to other teams, helping them recruit, train, and participate in races and festivals. Through its involvement in dragon boat events that promote cancer awareness, Kentucky Thorough-Breasts continues to amplify the visibility of survivors’ stories and encourage broader public support for the cause.
